Facilities

The new lodges are located on the edge of the Bovisand Lodge Holiday Park which is perfect for those looking for a quiet holiday destination in South Devon. This award winning family run business is ideally located in an unspoilt wooded valley running down from the hills of Staddon Heights which opens onto a safe sandy beach facing Plymouth Breakwater and the Cornish coast.

Facilities at the Bovisand Lodge Estate include a magnificent indoor heated swimming pool complex which is for the exclusive use of Bovisand Lodge holiday makers, residents and their guests.

The pool is open for twelve hours a day, with private swimming lessons undertaken for 2 hours in the afternoon on a Monday, Tuesday & Thursday - term time only. If you’re holidaying with young children, there’s a quality children's play park with climbing tower, slide, swings, and badminton net. For more energetic youngsters, there’s plenty of open space at the front of the holiday park for games of rounders, football or cricket.

The beach is around a two to three minute walk from the lodges. It’s ideal for children as the beach has a gentle incline into the sea making it very safe for bathing and at low tide there is a large expanse of sand with rock pools. Bring your fishing nets and spend a few happy hours searching for crabs and shrimps.
During your stay, make sure you meet Felix the goat, he even has his own blog so keep up to date with all his news. He has a lovely gentle nature and might even nuzzle your hand if you have a piece of toast!

Bovisand has won a David Bellamy Gold award for conservation and is adjacent to the South West Coast Path making it an ideal base for local walks. There are numerous footpaths and cliff walks to explore, many with magnificent views of Plymouth Sound and the Cornish Coast. There’s also an abundance of wildlife in the area and it’s especially good for bird watchers with buzzards and hawks often circling above.
